A Stray Dog book by Marc Simont

I pick this book because it has charming illustrations. And besides i love dogs.
A heartwarming story of a stray dog and the family who meets him on a picnic one day. They leave him after their day of fun, thinking he must have a family (or using this as an excuse not to worry about him) but the children--and even Mom and Dad!--can't stop thinking about him.

So on JUly 22  ACQ hosted 18 schoolchildren for a reading session with ACQ volunteer Zebo Murodova from Sarband. She chose the book "The Stray Dog" from the AC Library and first introduced the new vocabulary to participants. Later she read the book and the audience just listened to her reading. After she read it again in a faster tempo. Then she asked the participants to prepare some questions from the story to ask each other. By this help she checked their understanding. Boys and girls asked and answered each others' questions.

Students make sentences with negative imperative Don't.

Knuffl Bunny book by Mo Williems

We have read the book Knuffle Bunny in or reading session this Wednesday.
A little girl named Trixie starts to cry when she loses her stuffed animal and grows frustrated when she can't explain to her father what has happened. Her father, who hadn't noticed that the bunny was missing, tries to calm her down by talking about other things, which frustrates the little girl even more.It is so hard to be little  and hard for parents that cant understand what babies want to say.
After some valiant tries (my favorite being the single tearful "snurp") she feels she has no alternative but to burst into a full-blown tantrum. This doesn't make her father any happier and since he hasn't realized what the problem is, he takes her home as she kicks and screams. Once home, however, her mother quickly asks, "Where's Knuffle Bunny"? Back runs the whole family to the Laundromat where, at long last, the beloved bunny is recovered and Trixie says her first real words.

After reading the book students remembered themselves as babies and what kind of favorite toy they had and how it was dear to them. we also talked what was their first words as babies.
I explained to students about Laundromat and they got notion about this after reading this book.

Have you filled your bucket today?

We have read the book " Have you filled your bucket today? by Carol Mc Cloud.
Through simple prose and vivid illustrations, this heartwarming book encourages positive behavior as children see how rewarding it is to express daily kindness, appreciation, and love.
This book explains to children that we all carry an invisible bucket in which we keep our feelings about ourselves. When our buckets are full, we are happy; when they are empty, we are sad.
It is important to know that we can fill our own bucket and so can others. We fill buckets by saying nice things to the people around us. We fill buckets by doing nice things for people.

Must read book.
Students enjoyed learning new words and learning about positive behavior.

Snow

Today in AC we have read book Snow by Uri Shulevitz with kids.It is easy book to read aloud.
No one thinks one or two snowflakes will amount to anything. Not the man with the hat or the lady with the umbrella. Not even the television or the radio forecasters. But one boy and his dog have faith that the snow will amount to something spectacular, and when flakes start to swirl down on the city, they are also the only ones who know how to truly enjoy it.
 Students made new words.
